I just wanted to be sure of you...

That is not a line from a song.  It's a short sentence from an A. A. Milne quote.  Here, I'll show you:

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
"Yes Piglet?"
"Nothing" said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. I just wanted to be sure of you."

A. A. Milne

In other news, I am clean now.  I smell like that weird cotton flavoured body wash stuff though.  I don't like that smell.  *lotion*

Sorry I've been so bad at blogging lately.  Life is busy and such.  Lately, I've been reading Emma by Jane Austen.  I like it.  Peter Pan is still my favorite Brit Lit book thus far.

If I could put guitar/drum/vocal/piano riffs as my blog title, I would probably do that just as often as I put lyrics.

Sunday night is the children's program at church.  I'm in it.  I have a nice non-speaking mime... I mean drama.  I was told that it's not a mime, even though it's silent.  It's sort of not, I guess, since we're using real props most of the time.  But still.  I want to call it a mime.

I brought the bootleg Mayday Parade CD for Andrew after I forgot a billion times, and then forgot it in my purse.  Grrrrr.

Oh!  Here's a list of CDs I want, in no particular order:

Legacy Between by Transistor Radio
Live Like We're Alive by Nevertheless
Letters to the President by Hawk Nelson
Flyleaf by... you guessed it... Flyleaf
The Weak's End by Emery
Let It Snow, Baby... Let it Reindeer by Relient K
Blueprints for the Black Market by Anberlin
Hello, Good Friend by The Rocket Summer
How to Save a Life by The Fray
Lifehouse  and Who We Are by Lifehouse
All Gas. No Brake. by Stellar Kart
They're Only Chasing Safety by Underoath

That's all I've got for the moment.  I'll probably think of more.  For now, I should go get ready to watch some basketball.

Sincerely,
Mara

  2. A. A. Milne put lots of lovely little snippets into his stories. They're like hugs in word form, only you needn't convince someone to give them to you, so you can read them any time of the day or night, and it's still like a word hug.

    Cotton? Zounds.

Emotive music is a beautiful thing...in a punnish sort of way.

    Charades, no?

I call one of those. I think. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I do. No one else get Mara the CD I call.

  3. I love that quote. We all want to be sure of some things, don't we?

The Sun And Moon by Mae is such a pretty song. The piano part is so lovely. I get all relazed when that song pops up. Not to be confused with "relaxed", apparently.

Look at your plant and your egg! *bounce*

You are going to be sixteen for not much longer. What have been the defining moments of your sixteenth year? I wonder if your defining moments would be the same as the defining moments I've seen as a mom.

If you can't think of anything, you do have...oh...thirteen more days to mark it with something significant. No tattoos, please. *laugh*

  4. That second link didn't work. Nevermind, though, because you can actually order prints directly from Facebook. That's kind of cool.
